Convert PNG to WebP
PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which also makes photos saved as PNG large. WebP is the web's modern image format: smaller than JPG and PNG, with transparency.

What you get
Modern formats
WebP and AVIF are usually much smaller than JPG or PNG at similar visual quality, which is what makes pages load faster.
Several steps, one request
Over the API, chain operations in order — for example resize, then convert, then remove location data.
Same result in your code
What you run here is one multipart request over the API, with a webhook when the job is done.
Pay for processing time
One tariff for every operation, capped per file. A failed job is refunded automatically.
Same thing over the API
One header, one multipart request with the file, then poll the job or take a webhook. The same operation you just tried in the browser.
Questions
Will WebP look worse than PNG?
Converting to a lossy format (JPG, WebP, AVIF) compresses the image again; at the default settings the difference is hard to see. PNG output is lossless.
Is transparency kept?
PNG, WebP and AVIF support transparency. JPG does not, so transparent areas are filled with a solid background when the result is JPG.
Do I need an account?
No — images can be converted without signing up. An account adds a daily free allowance and an API key.
Can I automate it?
Yes. Send the file to the API with service “photoconvert” and operation “convert”, set the format to webp, then poll the job or take a webhook.
