What you get
Modern formats
WebP and AVIF are usually much smaller than JPG or PNG at similar visual quality.
Several steps, one request
Over the API, chain operations in order — resize, then convert, then remove location data.
Same result in your code
What you run here is one multipart request over the API, with a webhook when the job is done.
Pay for processing time
One tariff for every operation, capped per file. A failed job is refunded automatically.
Same thing over the API
One header, one multipart request with the file, then poll the job or take a webhook. The same operation you just tried in the browser.
Questions
Which format should I pick?
WebP or AVIF for websites, JPG where only JPG is accepted, PNG for screenshots, logos and anything that needs transparency.
Is transparency kept?
In PNG, WebP and AVIF, yes. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas get a solid background.
Do I need an account?
No — images can be converted without signing up. An account adds a daily free allowance and an API key.
Can I automate it?
Yes. Send the file to the API with service “photoconvert” and operation “convert” with the format you want, then poll the job or take a webhook.
