Compress a video
Too big for email, a chat or an upload form? Re-encode it to a fraction of the size and keep the picture looking the same.

What you get
Three levels, or exact control
Light, medium and strong cover most needs; over the API you can set the CRF (0–51) and the encoder preset yourself.
H.264 that plays everywhere
The result is encoded with H.264, the codec every phone, browser and social network plays.
Combine with other edits
Resize, trim or mute in the same job over the API — one re-encode instead of several.
Pay for processing time
One tariff for every operation, capped per file. A failed job is refunded automatically.
Same thing over the API
One header, one multipart request with the file, then poll the job or take a webhook. The same operation you just tried in the browser.
Questions
How much smaller will it get?
It depends on the source: a phone video recorded at a high bitrate often shrinks several times; a video that is already compressed shrinks less. Strong gives the smallest file.
Will the quality drop?
Light keeps it visually identical for most videos; strong trades some detail for size. Try medium first.
Do I need an account?
Small files can be compressed without signing up. An account adds a daily free allowance and an API key.
Can I automate it?
Yes. Send the file to the API with service “clipconvert” and operation “compress” with level light, medium or strong, then poll the job or take a webhook.
